KUWAIT: The Central Prison Security Department had to use necessary force to remove a razor blade from an inmate’s mouth. The Sulaibiya Police Station was notified, and a case of attempted suicide was registered.

A security source reported that the Central Prison Administration was alerted by fellow inmates about a citizen inmate attempting suicide. The prison personnel quickly intervened, facing strong resistance from the inmate. They eventually handcuffed him and removed the razor blade from his mouth.

The inmate is now under investigation to determine the reasons behind his actions.

In a separate incident, personnel from the Mutlaa Police Station requested an ambulance for an expatriate held in the women’s detention center. Initially suspected of attempting suicide, it was later found that she was suffering from severe pain, necessitating medical attention. She was transferred to Jahra Hospital for treatment.
