KUWAIT: The Pakistani Blood Donors Association (Kuwait Chapter), PAK Donors, organized a successful blood donation drive on Friday to mark International Thalassemia Day. The event, held at the Kuwait Central Blood Bank in Al Jabriya, Kuwait, attracted over 250 registereddonors. The drive was dedicated tofighting thalassemia under the slogan “Donate Blood, Save a Child”. The efforts of PAK Donors were honored by the presence of the Ambassador of Pakistan to Kuwait, H.E. Malik Muhammad Farooq, and the WHO representative to Kuwait, Dr. Asad Hafeez. Asha’s Restaurant and CityBus Kuwait partnered with PAK Donors, contributing significantly to the event’s success. Asha’s Restaurant, renowned for its cuisine and hospitality, and CityBus, the flagship brand of City Group Company KSCP, is the first privately held public transport provider in Kuwait, showcasing its commitment to social responsibility by supporting the noble cause of blood donation.
Various dignitaries, including community heads and representatives from Coast Investment and Development Co., participated in the event, emphasizing the Pakistani community’s dedication to serving humanity in Kuwait.
Nouman Aslam Ghuman, the In-charge Coordinator of PAK Donors, expressed pride in organizing the 24th blood donation drive and reiterated the organization’s commitment to spreading awareness about blood donation’s importance.
The event received support from the Kuwait Central Blood Bank, sponsors, donors, volunteers, and media partners, highlighting the collective effort to combat thalassemia and save lives.
