Kuwait’s Second Siren Trial for Public Safety
Published on: 19-Nov-2023
KUWAIT: The General Administration of Civil Defense, under the Ministry of Interior’s General Administration of Security Relations and Media, is scheduled to carry out the second trial operation of sirens across all governorates in the State of Kuwait on Tuesday, 11/21/2023, starting at 10:00 am. The purpose of this initiative is to evaluate the readiness of the sirens and ensure that the public is familiar with the three distinct tones they emit, which convey vital information during emergencies. These tones are accompanied by specific instructions that individuals should adhere to.
The first tone, an intermittent sound, serves as a warning for the imminent occurrence of danger. The second tone, characterized by a wavy pattern, indicates ongoing danger, while the continuous third tone signals the dissipation of the danger. Furthermore, each tone will be followed by the broadcast of introductory voice messages in both Arabic and English, thereby enhancing communication effectiveness during critical situations.
